This season we welcome the fans of Alloa, Annan, Berwick Rangers, East Stirling, Elgin, Montrose, Queens Park, Peterhead & Stranraer and indeed any fitba' fans who may want to attend the disaster area that is called Broadwood Stadium (except for those 'Auld Firm' bigots who blight the Scottish nation with their every oxygen stealing breath as their knuckles drag along the ground), for the battle to win the right to say yer team are the SFL 3rd Division Champions for the 2011/2012 season. Please help release Clyde from this bloated white elephant of a place by NOT buying food & drink from the kiosks. All monies from these activities go straight to the landlord who are not maintaining the seating & facilities to a reasonable standard.
disclaimer :- its no ma' fault....

Welcome to this basic & totally unofficial guide on how to get to Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld, by using the direct local public transport services available in the immediate area.
Clyde Football Club currently lease most of the Stadium (50 year lease signed in 1994...) , in order to play the game of fitba' (association football or soccer) at a Senior level within the Scottish game. An 8000 all-seater stadium with 3 stands (capacities are @3,700 in main East Stand, @2,500 in West Stand and @1,800 in South Stand). Thanks to Clyde FC being fully paid up members of the ↪ Scottish F.A. (external link) , the stadium has been able to host UEFA youth international games involving Scotland's' U21 & 'B' teams & also women’s full international games & various high profile Junior level games, thus generating income for the landlord.....
It was hoped that a 4th stand would have been built, as aspired to in the original lease agreement (lasting 50 years from 1994), thus completing the stadium, but this was not achieved due to various factors. There is now no intent by the stadium landlord ↪ North Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd (previously ↪ Broadwood Stadium Company Ltd (external links) to complete Broadwood into a 4 stand stadium, indeed the landlords seem to be actively running down the place, as evidenced by the non-use & general disrepair of the west & south stand & the closing off of seating in the lower section of the east (Main) stand. Both Ltd. companies are very closely linked to the local authority, North Lanarkshire Council....... The stadium company instead have proceeded to build a "£8m state of the art facility", so the pitch is now enclosed by 4 structures, with only 3 of them capable of ensuring that fans are facing the grass pitch. Clyde are currently paying rent of over £80,000 p.a. for this privilege.....
